/ Questions about the Foundation

ALTIOS Foundation was founded in 2025, leveraging 35 years of experience, networking and connections, aiming at making international development impacts positive for all.

Projects are sponsored by ALTIOS employees, then reviewed and qualified by our selection committee. Finally, they are submitted to a vote by our board and selection committee members. Our selection criteria include alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, project development stage, geographic location, and other internal factors.

Positive impact projects require multiple skills that we know lie within ALTIOS staff, from their academic training, professional experience or personal initiatives. Skills sponsorship allow employees to volunteer their professional talents for causes they care about.

ALTIOS Foundation operates through 3 different programs. “People” and “Projects” channel our skills sponsorship initiatives, benefiting individuals directly or through a non-profit organization. Financial donations are managed through our “Charity” program, in combination with skills sponsorship.

Anyone can support ALTIOS Foundation by donating to fund selected projects. Our annual report will transparently showcase the impact of every contribution.

Donations to the ALTIOS Foundation are allocated to supported projects based on a balanced distribution, or, if you prefer, 100% to a specific project of your choice. They exclusively fund projects that have undergone thorough evaluation by our selection committee, confirming their alignment with our impact criteria. Our annual report will transparently showcase the impact of every contribution.

ALTIOS Foundation measures its impact through rigorous evaluation of supported projects, tracking key metrics such as beneficiaries reached, sustainable outcomes, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We communicate our results transparently in our annual report, sharing stories of change, data-driven insights, and the tangible difference made possible by our employees and donors.

How did the company help turn your idea, ambition, or next move into reality?

Altios
Tatiana

I joined ALTIOS in Berlin, where I learnt how to manage international projects and quickly fell in love with the company’s global environment — full of opportunities yet still close and accessible thanks to our proximity to clients and colleagues abroad. With a wide range of services and clients from diverse industries and backgrounds, I was immediately drawn to the personalised support we offer: adapting to each client’s needs, timing, culture, and experience.

I wanted to continue growing my career at ALTIOS by providing the same services while discovering the challenges of supporting foreign clients in the Australian market. Thanks to ALTIOS, I spent over six months in our Sydney office. These experiences truly showed me that we are one big international team, sharing knowledge and helping clients from one side of the world to the other.

When you look back, what moment felt like a turning point in your journey here?

Altios
Tatiana

A key moment was moving to Sydney and working daily with a team spread across South-East Asia. Those brainstorming sessions and diverse projects, combined with the opportunity to compare European approaches, taught me a lot.

The real turning point came when I returned to Berlin, bringing with me practical project management skills and an open-minded Australian perspective. More than two years later, this experience continues to shape how I support ALTIOS clients from all horizons.

How did the company help turn your idea, ambition, or next move into reality?

I joined ALTIOS as a Business Developer, and my early results led management to entrust me with structuring and overseeing the Western region. That confidence highlights one of ALTIOS’s key strengths: recognizing talent and quickly broadening employees’ scope of action. I went on to recruit, train, and lead a sales team. Once the team was autonomous, I could delve deeper into our clients’ challenges. I identified a recurring need: SMEs and mid-caps lacked an integrated HR solution to manage their international workforces. Backed by my team’s commitment, I built a business plan combining HR Consulting, Recruitment, and Talent Management. ALTIOS gave me what matters most: the freedom to experiment. The results validated the approach, ultimately leading to my appointment as head of this new business expertise.

When you look back, what moment felt like a turning point in your journey here?

After proving myself in business development, management, and intrapreneurship, my spouse’s relocation to Spain could have slowed my momentum. ALTIOS saw it differently: the move was a chance to broaden and accelerate our new HR offering. Thanks to that vision, I continued the project in Madrid, advancing my own growth while boosting the group’s expansion.

The group offers a rare platform for expression: if you’re curious, results-oriented, and ready to bring solutions, your ideas will genuinely be heard. The path isn’t always linear—it takes energy, resilience, and a sense of teamwork—but every step comes with real responsibility and visible progress. If you’re seeking an environment where initiative is encouraged and backed by swift decision-making, ALTIOS can be that trusted framework where you turn projects into measurable achievements.

I joined M+V back in 2012 as CFO. It’s been a truly rewarding journey over the last 14 years — full of growth, learning, and great memories along the way.
