Our client is a European industrial group specializing in electrical safety and infrastructure systems, serving critical sectors such as energy, mining, transportation, among others.
With a strong footprint in Mexico through two specialized entities, the group is entering a new phase of development and is now recruiting its future General Manager Mexico to lead the consolidation and expansion of its operations in Mexico and the region.
The position is based in Mexico City, with frequent travel throughout Mexico and in Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica, among others).
Missions
Reporting to the senior leadership and Directors in France and Spain, you will oversee the operational and strategic integration of the two Mexican subsidiaries.
You will manage a local team of around 12 people, including commercial, technical, and administrative profiles. Your key role is to structure, align, and lead this new consolidated organization, ensuring its efficiency and local relevance, while staying aligned with the Group’s global objectives.
You are responsible for managing and developing strategic client relationships with both public and private stakeholders, providing high-quality support to industrial clients. Most notably the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), but also players in the mining sector, and infrastructure-related customers in rail and utilities.
You will also:
- Coordinate with local suppliers and distributors to ensure business continuity and growth
- Optimize internal processes in sales, service, and financial reporting
- Monitor and consolidate P&Ls
- Supervise budget planning, forecast tracking, and KPI analysis.
- Represent the company in industry events, trade fairs, and institutional forums.
Profile
You have 8+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior management roles in Mexico. You bring proven knowledge of the electrical sector, ideally with experience in:
- Medium and high-voltage systems
- Electrical substations
- Grounding and industrial safety systems
You hold an Engineering degree (Electrical or related field), with additional training and expertise in business management or leadership, which is considered a strong asset.
You have:
- Solid financial management skills (budgeting, reporting, profitability tracking)
- A deep understanding of the Mexican electrical ecosystem, regulations, and market dynamics
- Experience managing distributors, local suppliers, and regional development initiatives.
- Fluency in English (mandatory); French is a plus.
You are a practical, hands-on leader, with a natural ability to structure organizations and lead teams through transformation. You’re recognized for your:
- Proactive mindset and client proximity
- Transparency, humility, and approachability
- Ability to manage complexity and foster cross-team collaboration
You thrive in environments where field engagement, agility, and long-term impact matter more than corporate formality.
